John Michael Montgomery sang it so well. Few people fail to realize what a dance life is. We dance to celebrate, among other things, so celebrate your life, and DANCE!

I have been a dancer my whole life but the transition from dancer to teacher is full of ups and downs but it is the most rewarding that I have ever done. You can be as prepared as ever going into your first class, but you will quickly learn that sometimes you have to fly by the seat of your pants and call on a higher power to help you when the class you thought you were prepared for throws you a curveball! Sometimes you do need to follow when you are in a teaching role. Learn from other teachers! As dance educators, it is imperative that we continue our learning process as well!

I hope to share my ups and downs (hopefully more ups than downs) with other teachers out there, the experienced veterans and the rookie dance teachers!
